Prem Sagar Menghwar

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. During this postdoc, I was an Academic Visitor at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

My research takes a stakeholder perspective on strategic management and entrepreneurship. Using qualitative, phenomenon-driven research, I explore how organizations identify strategically relevant stakeholders, make strategic decisions, and create value for multiple stakeholders while navigating crises and complex societal challenges.

My research is currently under review at leading journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Academy of Management Collections. I am also currently working on a book titled “Stakeholder Capitalism: The Definitive Guide” with Ed Freeman.

I have a Ph.D. in Management (passed with an Excellent Grade) from LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome. During my doctoral studies, I was a visiting student at Boston College. I also earned a Master’s degree in Business Management (110 cum laude/110) from Sapienza University of Rome, where I was awarded an Erasmus scholarship to study for two semesters at Södertörn University, Stockholm, Sweden.
